AUTOMOTIVE DYNAMICS

ABOUT:

The SAE-A presents a new feature in our calendar of events - the SAE-A Student Seminars (SSS); a series of informative lectures designed to address the key fundamentals of engineering design, construction and professionalism. 

WHAT IT WILL COVER:

  • Design for body suspension stiffness.
  • Damping and weight effects.
  • Consideration of weight distribution in the vehicle as well as resonance due to body natural frequency will be covered.

WHO WILL BE PRESENTING:

Michael Barber

  • A specialist in Vehicle Dynamics.
  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Swinburne in 1998.
  • Has worked at GM Holden for over 15 years as a Vehicle Dynamics Development engineer.
  • Worked on the critically acclaimed VF Holden Commodore models as well as MY14 Holden Cruze.
