PRESENTED BY: CLINT STEELE

Clint decided to become an engineer after reading a hot rod magazine at age 14.

He completed a bachelor of engineering in mechanical, a master of entrepreneurship and innovation and a PhD. He has worked for Ford Australia, Cram Australia, Davey Water Products and Detekt design in engineering design and development roles.

He has worked in academia researching and teaching engineering design methods. He has a keen interest in cooperation between industry and academia so that technical know-how can be shared with and known by all. He is also the editor of the SAE-A technical journal.

BENEFIT TO ATTENDEES:

At the end of the session, attendees will feel more confident in expressing their findings in a rigorous manner. This will in turn make them more able to write for publications and conferences in general.

This ability and confidence to note findings and communicate them in a professional/academic journal is an aspect of the professional engineer, and attendees will be one step closer to becoming an engineer who is influential within their respective community.

STYLE OF PRESENTATION:

The session will start with a basic run down on the characteristics of a good paper.

The session will then move into a workshop mode to help attendees think about their paper and what they will do to progress it.

Printed notes on what was covered, which will include references for further reading, will also be provided.

Webinar option available for those outside VIC.
