Join us in the Ballroom of The Windsor Hotel to celebrate the Society's 90th Anniversary with a dinner to remember.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Michael Green, Victorian Government
The night will feature a keynote speech from Dr. Michael Green, Acting Deputy Secretary, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources on 'Opportunities in Transport Technologies and Manufacturing'. It will outline the opportunities, industry trends, and processes for industry support in the development of technologies and manufacturing.

This is a must attend event for anybody with plans for development in this industry sector, and is currently involved or considering working with the state government on development projects in the future. The presentation will be applicable for OE or aftermarket, and for projects focused on research, product development, or manufacturing.

    About the Night:
The night will also feature presentations from our youngest and oldest members, 99 and 13 years of age respectively, revealing the origins of SAE-A , while providing an insight into what makes the Society great for them.

The room will be filled with key industry people with an interest in the technology side of the mobility sector, and represents a great opportunity to both hear the keynote presentation and network with other like-minded professionals.

We encourage you to attend and show your support for the SAE-A at a time where the Society is working hard to enable continuation of our service to the mobility industry for at least another 90 years!

We hope to see you on the night, and to share this special occasion with you.

Many people will think of Mindfulness as something for those that are mentally fragile or weak, but Formula 1 racing legend Derek Bell is a firm believer in the practice.

Bell talks about his ability to focus on any given task with 100% concentration, thinking of nothing but "tire pressure, how much gas was left, and how the car felt going into a turn."

Mindfulness practice reduces stress, anxiety and worries by managing how we deal with our thoughts and our emotional reaction to those thoughts, streamlining our working efficiency, for optimal performance.

Our presenter Phillip Chen has taken this course worldwide, delivering it to high level managers including those from: Excel Indonesia, Tesltra, VACC and Ford Motor Company.

Mindfulness teaches us how to reduce the distractions from our working environment as well as our constant stream of thoughts, so that we can improve our focus of attention on tasks at hand, thus improving our effectiveness in everything that we do.

If you'd like some more information on the course, feel free to contact us in the National Office on (03) 9676 9568.
