GRADUATE ENGINEER JOB OPPORTUNITY


Requirement:

In 2016 and 2017, ABMARC has a number of exciting projects, including testing emissions and fuel efficiency on locomotives, heavy duty vehicles and passenger cars with Australia’s only Portable Emissions Measurement System that meets the requirements of US EPA 1065. We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic graduate or recent engineer, who wants to work with advanced technologies and can grow with the company.

Job Title: Project Engineer

Employment: Full time contract, initially 12 months with the possibility of extension

Reporting to: Managing Director and Project Leaders

ABMARC is located in the Yarra Valley, Victoria.

Job Description:

The project engineer is required to work with project leaders to ensure the on time delivery of a diverse range of projects. From time to time there may be a requirement for weekend work and travel. The project engineer will work across projects that may include, but are not limited to the following:

 Report writing
 Interpreting and applying regulation
 Developing and following processes and standard test procedures to meet regulatory or internal requirements
 Market research and analysis
 CFD analysis and CAD
 Support client test projects including:
o Test preparation, set up and take down
o Instrumentation of vehicles and engines
o Emissions, fuel consumption and power measurement under real world driving conditions or stationary.
o Dynamic vehicle testing
o Test data analysis and report writing
o Cleaning vehicles for return to customers

As the majority of work is delivered to the customer in the form of technical or research reports and these are often made available to the general public, the successful candidate will have excellent English skills and a high attention to detail.

Required Attributes:

 Engineering qualification in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical or aerospace
 Excellent English and report writing skills
 High attention to detail
 Enthusiastic and hardworking
