The SAE A operates in the automotive and mobility industry, and its national office is located in Port Melbourne. About the role

The Publications and Communications Coordinator works with members of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer, and other National Office staff on a wide range of membership related publications, event promotions, and corporate branding.

This role is engaged with the seamless delivery of these services, including coordination of project plans, advertising, and budgets.

Duties/responsibilities

  • Create industry relevant articles and manage contributions for various publications
  • Coordinate design and distribution of a print and digital magazine, newsletter, and event promotions
  • Derive revenue through marketing and managing advertising and sponsorship
  • Monitor trends in social media and industry news
  • Develop event graphics including programs, banners, invitations, and presentations

Skills/experience

  • Strong understanding of design principles and practice
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Ability to self-manage and handle multiple projects
  • Strong English writing and proofing skills

The successful applicant

You will have tertiary education in either graphic design, marketing, engineering, or similar, with at least one year of professional experience. You will also be creative, outcome orientated, driven to achieve great results, and be able to work to deadlines.
